Meet the Staff Team

We have recently employed a number of new staff - details will be added to this site within the next few weeks. In the meantime here is a list of those employed:

Hannah Calise - Project Co-ordinator - MAP

The following are all new sessional workers employed to deliver positive activities to young people on our MAP project:

In addition to the above and because she complained that she couldn't see her name on this page I must point out that Lesley Hughes is our Admin & Finance Officer - she will most probably be the person who will answer the phone if you ring up. Lesley has the following qualifications:

BA (Hons) Business Studies - she has other qualifications but too many to mention.

    Danny Gilchrist - Project Director 

Qualifications:

BA Hons (Fine Art); PGCE;  Arts Award  Advisor (Silver & Bronze); MCMI; First Aid

Although Danny has only been Project Director for a relatively short time his links with Mobex go back to 1992 when he managed The Prince's Trust Volunteers in Newcastle and Mobex delivered the residential element of the PTV programme. With almost 40 years experience of working with young people (he started as a young leader in a local youth club in South Shields) and 27 years managing youth projects (Northumbria Coalition Against Crime, Children North East, The Prince's Trust Volunteers, Youth Opportunities Programme and Newcastle Youth Training Scheme) Danny sees his position with Mobex as "the most exciting development of my career, I have a dynamic team who want the Charity to become even better than it already is. Mobex is well known for the quality of its work, but what attracted me to the job of Project Director was the fact that the staff want to develop themselves further in order to offer the best service they can - and they are willing to try new ideas out - rock climbing and dancing! - alien to many outdoor organisations but not to the staff within Mobex North East".
