Abseils, Mobile Climbing Wall and other Resources
Mobex North East has a large stores area, which house our extensive collection of kit, equipment and our minibuses. Having such a wealth of resources at our disposal enables us to be flexible in our approach, delivering a wide range of both indoor and outdoor activities to suit your groups needs.
At the end of 2009 we renewed a lot of our equipment and clothing bringing our resources up to date and enabling our participants to be more comfortable.
In 2010 we took delivery of a mobile climbing wall that provides people with a simple climbing experience on their doorstep.
The climbing wall is available for hire at very competitive rates (in some cases possibly free of charge) and is ideal for sponsored or community events. Please note that erection of the wall can be dependent on venue and weather.
Through generous donations from the Clothworkers' Foundation and Ryder Architects we have recently converted one of our minibuses to accommodate wheelchair users - please call us for more details.
We actively seek to provide an all inclusive service - we supply all specialist equipment for activity sessions be it outdoor adventurous pursuits or arts activities.
We provide all of the technical equipment, materials and kit for our activity sessions such as:
Archery
All the equipment you would need for indoor and outdoor archery sessions. We have just designed and had built what we believe to be the only truly portable archery nets in the country. Our resources include specialist equipment for users who have difficulty holding a bow or pulling back the drawstring.
Mountain Biking
Not only do we have a fleet of bikes, we also provide all necessary safety equipment such as glasses, helmets and gloves. We also provide essentials such as spare inner tubes and tools in handy rucksacks. Why not get your young people an awrd in safe off-road cycling? Ask us for more details.

Using natural materials can produce unusual, unique works of art
Walking
Sturdy walking boots are essential for a safe hill walk or trek and we purchased over 40 pairs of new boots last year to make life more comfortable.
Water Based Activities
Canoeing, Kayaking, Ghyll Scrambling, Waterfall Jumping, Gorge Walking
SAFETY IS ALWAYS AT THE FOREFRONT OF OUR MINDS when designing activity programmes and for all water based activities. With the recent purchase of top quality wetsuits you can be guaranteed that you will be as warm as we can make you.
Climbing & Abseiling
Again, SAFETY COMES FIRST and we use all specialised technical equipment. All equipment is checked on a regular basis. New ropes, harnesses, tapes, etc... have recently been purchased to ensure that we always use top quality resources.
For participants with disabilities we can provide equipment especially tailored to your needs so you don't have to miss out on all the fun!
For an outdoor experience never to be forgotten why not book our Turkic Yurt - half the fun is in setting it up!
We have a fleet of canoes and kayaks (with trailers) as well as a large selection of camping equipment. We also have Native American Tipi camping equipment, bodyboards, mining equipment, fencing equipment...the list is endless!
Safety is paramount to what we do and you can rest assured that all safety equipment for the activities we deliver is provided and demonstrated to you and your group by our instructors.
We have our own Mobex North East minibuses and can pick up and drop off at places convenient to you and your group.
Our instructors have a wealth of knowledge of the North East region and will choose appropriate venues for all activities to suit your group, the weather and the conditions.
Our service truly is all inclusive so all you have to do is make your booking and leave the rest to us.
