Do you want to raise funds? Whether you are an individual, a group or organised charity we can help you to raise funds through our GEET BIG NORTH ABSEILs. Christian Aid are doing it in February - what about you?

The booking system is simple - telephone or email us to enquire about dates - we will send you a booking form and our Terms and Conditions - individuals return the form along with their booking fee, groups and charities return their booking form with a deposit.

The cost for each person abseiling is £25. This must be paid in advance of the abseil taking place. Please note that this fee helps our charity to deliver its services to vulnerable and disadvantaged people locally and regionally. In effect you are raising funds for two charities.

We can take care of everything if you wish us to: Registration prior to the event - contacting everyone who will be abseiling - organising time slots - registration on the day itself - at no extra cost. We also issue everyone who abseils with a certificate - your logo can be added to the certificate - again at no extra cost.

We offer a photographic service: photographs will be taken as people make their descent from the roof. If an image is required then there will be a charge of £6.00 per person. Orders must be paid for on the day or prior to the abseil.

On the day itself there will be signposts indicating where to meet. Friends and family may congregate in Martha's Courtyard at the base of the abseil to greet people as they land.

In the reception room there will be a member of Mobex staff to greet people and check their registration details. An induction will take place with another member of Mobex staff to ensure that people understand the abseil procedure. People are then led on to the roof - please note that only abseilers and Mobex staff are allowed on the roof.

The staff in charge of the abseil are highly trained and very experienced in this line of work. There will be two abseil ropes - these are tested prior to the abseil and throughout the day. They are VERY strong and can more than easily hold the weight of the heaviest person. The staff will chat to you and make sure that you understand everything before you make your descent - at this point take the opportunity to look over the Tyne Bridge towards the Baltic and beyond, these are fantastic views and are a showcase for Newcastle and Gateshead's architecture.

When you descend into Martha's Courtyard two more Mobex staff will be there to ensure that you land safely. They will unclip the abseil and safety rope and ask you to return your harness, helmet and gloves to the roof once you have met with your family and friends. When you return to the abseil reception area you will be issued with a certificate. You will have the chance to view the photographs taken of you and it is then that you may purchase one. Please note that it may take up to 10 working days to get the photograph to you.

Please note that you may be sharing the day with other fundraisers from other charities. It is possible for a charity to book a whole day (80 people) or half a day (40 people). To date no charity has booked a full day.

Almost £250,000 has been raised over the last 4 years by individuals and groups raising funds for the charity of their choice through our abseils.

At nearly 200ft we believe this is the highest charity abseil in the North East.
