MAP - Mobex Activities Project

Funded until March 2011 by the DCSF through the Youth Sector Development Fund Mobex North East is able to offer positive activities for free to young people aged 12 - 19 years on Friday and Saturday nights. We will also be offering limited free activity days during school holidays - please book early to avoid disappointment.

MOBEX CHALLENGE

Mobex Challenge is a free programme designed to support young people aged 16 - 25 years who are unemployed. The programme uses challenging outdoor activities to enable participants identify and develop existing skills as well as identify and develop new skills. Mobex staff are experienced in delivering programmes that support young people to increase their confidence, challenge attitudes and behaviour, develop communication skills and work as a team.

This programme is funded by the Northern Rock Foundation until December 2011.

Outdoor Arts Projects

Mobex North East prides itself on its innovative approach to the outdoors. It isn't all climbing and canoeing - for those people who would like to get a little more creative our Arts Team are able to meet with you to discuss your requirements. All arts programmes follow the guidelines for Mobex North East in that they are aimed at personal and social development.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY

Funding through the LloydsTSB Foundation has allowed us to provide subsidised leadership training for young people who have a disability. This project promotes independence, team work, communication, creative thinking, understanding and managing risk as well as leadership skills.

This programme has proved to be very popular but funding will cease in June 2010 - we will endeavour to find funding to carry on with this exciting project.
