Creative Adventures

The Mobex Creative Adventures programme provides experiences for young and disadvantaged people who would like to explore their personal development through areas other than adventurous outdoor activities.
We offer the following arts based activities - all linked to the natural environment:
Our Creative Adventures programmes can be integrated into the outdoors or be entirely independent. We can work in both urban and rural settings using natural materials. Sometimes these materials can be very frustrating but this helps teach perserverance and patience and leads to a great sense of pride and achievement when the end product is finished.
We work with a wide range of client groups and utilise different creative mediums to ensure that the needs and abilities of the individuals within the group are met in the most effective way.
If your group wishes to explore its creative side, please give us a call on 0191 2302830 to see what exciting, innovative art programmes Mobex North East can offer you and your organisation.

NORTHBOURNE YOUTH INITIATIVE
One of our last groups for the summer holidays but what a day we all had! After all that rain the sun shone but the sand at Druridge Bay was perfect for building sandcastles - not just any old sandcastle though, the young people decided to produce the biggest they could.

ARTS CAMPS
Based in a woodland setting, next to a stream with a campfire, makeshift shelter and lots of natural materials our Arts Camps add another dimension to how individuals relate to the natural environment. Away from the sounds of traffic and the hustle and bustle of everyday life this venue enables people to be as creative as they wish. And at the end of a productive day what better way to finish than cooking sausages and beans over an open fire? We delivered 7 days of Arts Camps to almost 60 young people this summer. We can arrange the same for your group next year or what about an autumn or winter Arts Camp? Contact Fiona or Nicky for more details.

Barndale House School, Northumberland
Have you ever been inside a Yurt? If not it can be the most inspiring environment for any group of any age. Students from Barndale House School challenged themselves to sleep overnight in our Turkic Yurt and for many this was the first time they had experienced outdoor sleeping.

Rock Climbing & Dancing? Don't be stupid!
Over the last nine months we have been piloting a new programme. The merging of the arts and outdoor adventure is an exciting concept. Using a big space to produce an artwork is something many people never get to do. Here at Mobex North East we want to free people's thoughts on what art is - or is not. A lot of outdoor traditionalists have looked on with interest at this combination, especially when we combined climbing with dancing!
